Leave it to Phil to win with an approach through the trees. Last weekend Phil won the Crowne Point International. Phil, my favorite player, never fails to deliver a scary finish. On the 18th hole, Phil hit a nice wild short iron hook out of the rough and trees. He hit the incredible shot then made a put for birdie.
It was the 34th career victory for Mickelson, who began the final round with a one-stroke lead. But like he did the day before, Mickelson fell behind before regaining the lead on his final putt of the day.
