Well we finally had some nice weather. It came at a good time, the first official weekend of the 2008 summer.
I had the opportunity to play some paintball this weekend at KC Crusaders http://kc-crusaders.com/ in Sumner Washington. This was my first time playing paintbal.
Once we got started I did enjoy it quit a bit. A few things to note for anyone who plans on playing paintball:
- Wear long sleeve shirts
- Wear contacts instead of glasses so you don’t have to fight with your mask
- Dress with dark colors
- Split a case of paint with another player
- Wear a hat
- Maybe some gloves
- Plan on having a change of clothes or a towel for when you get back into your car
- Bring something to eat and drink
- Get a mask with a fan so your goggle don’t fog up (cost $5 more)
We had about 35 players, and got there about 9:30. I think they opened at 10:00. We all had a coupon for a gun and mask, and after splitting a box of paint with another player, I spent about $45. After getting our masks, guns, air, and paintballs, we finally all made it out to our field, field four at about 10:30. There were several games we played, and since my legs are pretty out of shape I had jello legs after about the first games. Each game lasts about 10 minutes, and the air in your gun lasts for about 3-4 games. We played about 7 games total, and most of us cut out of there about 1:30. I did enjoy my first time paintballing so for anyone thinking about playing, be prepared to get real dirty and have a great time!
